Takata recall - I made an appointment with my dealer "East bay BMW" to get the airbags replaced. I received a follow-up call 2 days later informing me that they airbags are not available yet. I'm not forced to drive my unsafe vehicle until parts are available. Am I able to get a rental in the meantime until I'm able to repair this issue?

Takata recall. A fix for recall campaign 16V-071 issued in March 2016 by BMW against this VIN has yet to materialize. BMW clearly doesn't take seriously their obligation to repair this potentially fatal flaw.

Takata recall. Mfgr campaign #: si B65 15 16. BMW 2011 335I coupe. I've contacted my local BMW service center and they claim they have no parts available. I received the first recall notice last March 2016, and when attempting to set up an appointment, they said they do not have parts. It's now over a year and BMW is claiming the same thing. My car is out of warranty so it's not a "money maker" for them anymore. I'm tired of being lied to. How can the airbag be fixed?

Takata recall: I am still waiting for my recall to be fixed. I've read that they are fixing older models and those in high humidity first, but find it interesting that I received a notice to fix the recall on the 2013 leased BMW before my 2011 owned BMW. I live in fl and though I got the notice for the lease, I had already turned the lease back in and was no longer in possession of it. Now over a year later since the the beginning of the recall and still no replacement piece for my recall on an older model in high humidity. I turned in the lease in July of 2016 and got the notice about a week after turning it in and now 7 months after that and still no news on when my recall will be dealt with. Some information would be nice to owners still waiting for recalls.
Takata recall. This recall is been issued for a very long time but BMW still hasn't notified me for the replacement and repair. This needs to be addressed promptly.
