Car slowly becomes undriveable as the soot from the EGR clogs up the intake. Repair is covered under base warranty but not extended warranty without many weeks of persistent negotiation pointing out that the symptoms started while still under base warranty and after all, when you pay to "extend" the warranty you sure expect to have the same problems covered. Worst part was that it took over three weeks to get the car back after the repair started.
