The repair took 4 months and actually cost $15000. BMW had to replace the top half of the engine due to carbon build up inside. Several fuel delivery issues since then. The list is extensive. I bought the car new. It has always been serviced at BMW. I have spent about $10k out of pocket over the last 51/2 years that I have owner the car. Now has 120k miles. I will answer any questions on the fuel delivery issues. Too many to list.
