The contact owns a 2010 BMW 335D. While driving at an unknown speed, the vehicle shuttered and stalled. In addition, the ABS warning indicator illuminated. BMW of fairfax (8427 lee hwy, fairfax, va) diagnosed that the ABS sensor was defective and needed to be replaced. The ABS sensor had been previously replaced on two occasions. The vehicle was not repaired for the recent failure. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 17V676000 (electrical system) and stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. BMW of fairfax confirmed that the parts were not available for the recall remedy. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 30,600.
