Car overheated while driving, water level was good. Researched online, found out car, of course, had the electric water pump. Called Local BMW dealer for estimate...... what a joke! Called a couple other shops... found a shop to replace it for $850.00. BMW dealer was $1,700.00.
Car has to raised, some bracing under the front has to be removed to access the pump. Tight work area, but if you have the means to lift the car and work under it, it's something that a average mechanic can pull off. BMW gave me a line of sh*t about having to reprogram the pump?@. The shop completed the work in four hours, no programming.
