Wiring insulation cracking degrading leaving exposed bare wiring causing shorts and possible fire in headlight wiring harnesses, wires are stationary do not move. Insulation is craked and falling off wires. Noticed failure during bulb replacement. Made this complaint after reading about numerous other BMW owners noticing same fault
While I'm driving it popped up a red steering wheel/padlock symbol at the message center, still drives with no issues. I'm concerned if it is safe to drive back home, it's about one hour drive.
Why driving my car it suddenly lost power and stopped. I had to maneuver my car off the road and restart it. It started back up immediately but I drove maybe another mile and it did the same thing. I panicked turned around and drove back home. I will.be at the dealership in montgomery, al first thing Monday morning 10/31/2016.
Vehicle is loosing power between 45-55 miles and steering wheels becomes hard to turn on 7/1/16 jackson, ms on northview drive, same problem 7/10/17 mobile, al and 7/16/16 beach blvd. Jacksonville, fl and once breaking at a stop (redlight or stop sign) it shuts down in traffic. Car must be put in park and cranked to restart. Issue unknown and the vehicle is unsafe and will not stay on in big conjestions of traffic, I am scared of a crash. There are already recalls on this issue from the national data base.
While parking the car at 5 mph experienced unintended acceleration and crashed into a concrete block wall 8 feet in distance. The airbag deployed and the car was a total loss.

Battery cable connector went bad in our car. This was recalled by BMW for our type of car but our VIN was not included in the recall forcing us to pay out of pocket. This is a safety issue and cost us over $300 to repair
Riding down the highway and a warning light comes on stating steering wheel locked, so I pulled off the road and turned the power off to read up on the warning lights, I got a locked steering wheel and car would not start.
The car just stalls out. Sometimes, when I stop at a traffic light and then start to go, the car hesitate to go. It stalls in traffic. I have taken it to the dealer, but they can not duplicate the problem with their diagnostic test equipment. I am afraid that I will be hit by other cars because of it. Since the dealer can't seem to figure it out, I have been researching it on-line and lots of other people have the same problem.
Several times throughout the day after the car was parked, it was difficult to start and he battery indicator came on a few times. The final time after driving from Connecticut to queens NY, I was in a friends driveway after dropping them off from the airport, the car would not start even thought the lights were working. Eventually all power was lost. I had to have car pushed out if the driving and on to the street. Also to note earlier I was charging my cell phone, but it stopped charging. I went and purchase a new charged (usb adaptor) which did not work either, but worked when I hooked it up to the computer. The tow truck person was not able to get the car started with a jump, and indicated that it appeared to be an electrical issues. I reviewed the internet to see what the problem could be since my car has such low milage, and noticed there was a recall on my vehicle year and model from February 2013. I don't know if this is the same, but it sounds similar.
I have a 2007 328xi that currently has 51,000 miles. It is the second time that my locks in the vehicle have failed. The locks previously failed around 30,000 miles and were replaced under warranty, but now out of warranty I will be left to foot the bill myself. In the most recent incident, I was unable to unlock the car using the key fob or the button on the dash. I found myself locked in the vehicle and had to exit through the driver's window. Luckily, I was able to unlock the car from the outside using the valet key. The windows and trunk works, but the locks do not. When I press the lock and unlock button on the key fob and dash, I hear an audible sound as the car is trying to lock/unlock but the actuators in the doors do not function. It is a serious safety hazard if passengers cannot exit the vehicle for any reason. Please initiate an investigation and recall immediately. BMW engineers must design new locking system components that are not defective and do not fail every 20,000 miles.
