The engine problem light came on while I was travelling and 200 kilometers from the nearest BMW dealership. I pushed the SOS button for assistance and was told to take my car to the BMW dealership in Kelowna B.C. They cleared the problem but did not fix it. This occurred 6 times over the next 2 years before a service manager at a B.C. dealership took my car for a few days to drive it personally so he could see what was occurring.
They changed gas caps, sensors, etc.. the problem finally went away, but all the wasted time was never recovered , BMW did nothing to make me feel like they knew why it went away. Gremlins I guess..I sold the car.
