These engines tend to dump a ton of fuel into the engine when starting up, and if you don't let the engine run long enough the fuel can clean the oil off of the cylinder walls. Without running it long enough, the engine doesn't cycle the oil back through enough to recoat the walls, potentially leading to a big loss of compression and preventing the vehicle from starting. Happened to mine, and with other underlying issues of my car already having less compression than needed, the car wouldn't start anymore. Since already having less-than-ideal compression, it was impossible to get it back up and running with the typical 'pour some oil into each cylinder and see if she'll start' method.Ended up having to part out and scrap the car.
