This car simply has flakey electrical malfunctions at random times. The most serious is the door locks (electrical) can trap you in or out of the car. The workaround I've found is to restart the car and let it warm up. the locks seem to work after driving the car for some miles. Fortunately one can enter the car manually via ONE door, the driver's door when this happens.
More electrical problems: the dashboard error lights go on when nothing is wrong. It tells you the headlamps are out when they are not. And the car often needs replacement light bulbs or headlamps -- way too often.
It's just flakey and random making it not fixable.
On the other hand, the car is fun to drive.
