Door locks work only intermittently. Problem started about 3 years ago - I kept waiting for it to escelate to point where door locks are completely unusable but it's even more of a mystery. Sometimes they work perfectly for weeks. Replaced fuse, actuator, key. Complete waste of money and so much effort spent making all passengers climb over the driver's seat to get in the car. Once in the car, only driver's side opens as it's not possible to open others. Tried 3 different keys - automatic and non-automatic. All futile. Blogs say GM5 needs to be replaced but doesn't seem worth it to have another hit-or-miss. Complete nightmare. This is the 2nd BMW with the exact same issue in our family.
