Yesterday, I stopped to pick up groceries after work. Boston was experiencing an awful N''Easter that brought torrential rain. I drove into the parking lot without an issues out of the ordinary. Half an hour later after shopping I began driving out of the lot following another car with another car behind me. We all drove through a very large puddle and my car stalled as I reached the intersection to turn out on to the road.
I called BMW roadside assist who initially were helpful and then proceeded to tell me that there would be no assistance for anywhere up to eight hours. I went in to Starbucks after waiting nearly half an hour for assistance and watched dozens of cars driving through the water past my disabled vehicle that was parked out of the water with hazard lights on. Finally a gentleman suggested we go and try to start the car. My car started and I drove home.
I then drove to the dealership this morning who told me my engine was unable to be repaired and a whole new engine would have to installed. I was told to stay away from water puddles!
