If you live in a climate where you get any snow or freezing rain, the windows will freeze up everyday. The seals on the windows don't seem to trap the water out enough. I've tried using silicone sprays designed to prevent ice forming and windows freezing shut but it seems like the window is freezing inside the door further down. I can unstick the top and seal edge from the window but it is still frozen inside the door. When the climate gets a bit warmer I will be taking the inner door panel off to investigate what might be the cause of it freezing shut. This issue is magnified by the fact that the windows have to come down slightly when opening/closing the doors. I'm worried it might cause damage to the window motor or window seal on the doorframe. The motor does appear to stop trying to roll it down after 4 or 5 attempts so maybe this is not an issue and Audi has put some sort of bypass in it to prevent damage but that doesn't solve the issue with the window seal around the edge of the door frame.
