After starting the car yesterday the whole instrument panel went dark. The tach, speedometer, gas, and temp gauges are completely dead. They don’t light up and the needles don’t move. Also the light underneath the shifter is out. It all happened at once. The car runs and drives fine and the headlights still work. After much online searching I see this is not uncommon and I learned the instrument cluster was already replaced once before in this car! That was 12 years ago by a previous owner. Stealership estimate to replace with Audi OEM part is close to $2,000! If I don’t fix it I’ll run out of gas and get pulled over for speeding without those gauges. @#$&@#$&!!!
