This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
Fuel gauge consistency reads the wrong level of fuel in the gas tank. Left me stranded twice already. This is a very very common malfunction for my model of Audi.
My 2000 Audi Tt quattro has a problem with its fuel gauge where it sometimes reads that there is most of a tank of gas when the tank is nearly empty. Problem is intermittent. I have not run out of gas or had an accident, but this seems to be a potential safety hazard to me (the car could run out of gas without warning). On audiworld.com Tt forums, there are many reports of this same problem.
