BUYER BEWARE: SOFTWARE DEFECTIVE. picked up "new" car. Numerous defects, tied to defects in software, including excessive mileage tally. 9/2016: volkswagen/audi had a recall on software, including my vehicle. 11/30/2016, ended lease and returned vehicle to audi, after they refused to replace a defective mechatronics unit. audi financial services sent me a bill for excessive mileage. I immediately sent audi financial services 3 written requests, 2 certified mail, one email in correspondence, for them to provide vehicle for independent inspection. They never replied and sent me to collections.
volkswagen, as repeatedly demonstrated, in the news, court, and personal experience, has lost all integrity, sense of responsibility, morality, professionalism, and sense of decency. They are criminal in their practice, and any dealership associated with volkswagen, audi and porsche, are as well. BEWARE.
Update from Jan 1, 2018: not recall on software, TSB on software. "serviced" 9/2016, just prior to lease end, after audi denial of issues for 2.5 yrs.
