TSB Document:
Affected Component: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
- Summary
- The dashboard lights and controls may briefly flicker under hard acceleration after downshifting or when the engine is revved while the vehicle is stationary. The issue does not occur during normal driving, and all instrumentation continues to operate correctly. During periods of low electrical load (and especially when the battery is fully charged), the energy spike generated by the alternator due to the rapid increase in engine speed cannot be completely absorbed by the vehicle electrical system. This leads to a voltage increase that can cause some modules to initiate overvoltage protection. The condition is very brief and is considered normal.
