At 23,000 miles the car needed brakes, which were not covered by the warranty. The service department claims this is common with Q7s because it's a heavy car and has performance brakes, but I have owned heavy cars before and never needed brakes before 45,000 miles - and usually more. Audi charged $900 for the brakes and said it would be $2,000 at 40,000 miles because then I'd need rotors as well. But now the car has 26,000 miles and the brakes are singing again!
