The fuel pump failed because of recall not done correctly. I took the car to the family mechanic and they confirmed that the recall was not done correctly and, over time, the tape the dealer put on came off and fuel pump failed. He has never seen a fuel pump go at 50,000 miles. He also has the same car! Audi refuses to reimburse because the car was not inspected by a dealer even though my mechanic is available to talk to anyone to explain the issue. I will keep calling and writing letters. I will also file a complaint with the BBB. Any suggestions are appreciated.
