Dealer claims that since I had routine maintenance (the 20,000 mile one done 2 years ago at an independent garage) the warrantee is voided. My insurance won't cover the cost because the dealer said that the problem was due to inadequate maintenance two years ago. Note that the drain should be checked only once every two years or 20,000 miles. This seems ridiculous in retrospect. Also note that there was a class action suit that VW has agreed to pay for defective sunroof drains on 2019 Audi Q3 and 2019 Audi Q7 SUVs.
