The contact owns a 2017 Audi Q5. The contact stated that vehicle was serviced in 2017 under NHTSA Campaign Number: 17V298000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) by the dealer. The contact stated that while his wife was driving at an undisclosed speed, fumes was detected inside the vehicle. The contact stated that he checked the vehicle and became aware that fuel was leaking underneath the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the fuel pump flange needed to be replaced. The contact was informed that the warranty for the repair was 12-months. The contact stated that the fuel flange was replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and confirmed that the recall repair was completed in 2017 and that the warranty was for 12-months. The failure mileage was approximately 84,000.

The contact owns a 2017 Audi Q5. The contact was not made aware of NHTSA campaign number: 17V298000 (fuel system, gasoline) until after the vehicle was purchased. The contact was unable to determine if there may be a stop sale of the vehicle due to the dealer (Audi North austin, 12971 pond springs rd, austin, tx 78729, (844) 473-2985) and manufacturer being unable to determine when the remedy and repair parts would be available. The contact received no written notice of a manufacturer recall. The service center manager sent an E-mail a month after the vehicle was sold and the contact was waiting on a solution from the manufacturer. The contact was not experiencing a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.
