Car went into EPC (“limpâ€) mode with my wife driving day after Thanksgiving. Had car inspected by independent shop specializing in European autos. Initial inspection pointed to replacement of coils and spark plugs. Borescope inspection revealed scratching of one of the four cylinders. Recommended fix was engine replacement at $15K.
