Bought the car used from a dealer and the check engine light came on within an hour or so. Trouble code was lack of boost. I started digging and found the linkage on the turbo charger was loose causing the waste gate to not close properly and build up boost pressure. I pulled the turbo and with a bit of ingenuity was able to tighten the linkage to allow the valve to close properly. I'm guessing my fix will last about 25-30K miles but it was free and I probably won't keep the car for that long anyway.
