This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
I was driving on a Suburban city street in a straight line with no cars or any other obstructions ahead of me or behind me. Without warning, the car engaged its emergency braking throwing my daughter and me forward violently into our seat belts. When I fell back, the dashboard was showing me a proximity warning but again nothing was anywhere near our car. The servicing dealer said they didn't find any error codes and so there was nothing they could do. This hasn't happened again (yet) but the cameras all around the car that engage for parking and in reverse are constantly going out and/or the vehicle mmi system randomly retracts into the dash while driving.
The contact owns a 2015 Audi A8. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 60 mph, the vehicle speed decreased and suddenly failed to go over 40 mph. In addition, when depressing the accelerator pedal, the vehicle stalled. The failure occurred intermittently. The vehicle was taken to the dealer but the failure could not be duplicated. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 10,427.
