The electromechanical parking brake warning is illuminated in the instrument cluster. DTCs are stored in the electromechanical parking brake control module. These DTCs are often sporadic and the complaint cannot be reproduced in the workshop. The condition is caused by an issue with the electromechanical parking brake control module, J540.
