The contact owns a 2013 Audi A8. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 20V397000 (structure) however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. Fathers & sons-Audi West springfield (434 memorial ave, West springfield, MA 01089) was contacted and confirmed that parts were not yet available for the recall repair. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
The contact owns a 2013 Audi A8L. The contact stated the brake pedal was installed too close to the side wall on the floor board. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer, who stated that was a manufacturer design with the brake pedal installation. The manufacturer was notified of the problem. The approximate failure mileage was 300....updated 05/08/13 the consumer stated after further investigation with the dealer, it was determined that the spacing between the brake pedal and the footwell side wall was different between 2011 and 2013 model years. The loss of 3/4 of an inch is wat is causing the failure. Updated 05/30/2013
