TSB Document:
Affected Component: EXTERIOR LIGHTING:TURN SIGNAL
- Summary
- Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 94 number 12-97 dated November 20, 2012. The warning is typically associated with the activation of the static cornering light during low speed turns, or when the turn signal is activated while at a stop. The fault disappears shortly after the cornering light turns off. Entries are logged in the vehicle electrical system control module. Only vehicles with full LED headlights (PR No 8EX or 8EY) are affected. Both headlights remain fully functional and still comply with all applicable FMVSS standards. Software within the LED control module incorrectly calculates the current intensity of the headlight LEDs, which causes the DTC to be set.
