I purchased this Audi used from a dealership in Miami and it said as is. When I drove off the lot on my way home problems. I took it to the shop because the oil light kept coming on for oil pressure low. Then it was the camshaft and crankshaft. Then I was told I needed an engine. Got the engine replaced with supposedly a good used engine, but the same thing. I have a car in my driveway that looks good on the outside but engine is no good with only 80 plus thousand miles. German cars suppose to be good cars, but not Audi, they are trash - everyone is complaining about Audi cars for the years of 2013 to 2019.

10:02 AM
I regret to hear that your vehicle is experiencing a oil consumption issue. I understand the frustration when a vehicle concern arise.
10:04 AM
Can you provide me with full VIN, phone number, and mileage?

sorry yes working too
10:09 AM
Thank you. One moment while I confirm if there is an extended warranty for the oil consumption.
10:12 AM
thank you
10:13 AM
its really bad cosuming a ton of gas too
10:13 AM
Thank you for holding. I was able to confirm there is no oil consumption warranty applicable to the vehicle. However, I see the vehicle had an extended warranty for the steering box which is applicable for 10 years or 125,000 miles, whichever occurs first from the in service date and the Natural Vacuum Leak Detection.
10:15 AM
At this time, we recommend scheduling an appointment with an Audi dealer to have the oil consumption test completed. The test is broken into two parts which will allow the dealer to confirm what parts needs to be replaced.
Live Chat - Chloe
ok because the oil light comes on regularly
10:17 AM
how much does the test cost and if they find that there is an issue is it covered by audi
because i know that the lawsuit covered vehicles that had the 2.0 turbo engine! and up to 2017 the vehicles with that engine and turbo has issues!
so i mean its just a matter of confirming that its there right?
10:18 AM
I am not aware of the diagnosis fee as that is set by the dealer. Additionally, since the oil consumption warranty is not applicable to the vehicle and the New Vehicle Limited Warranty has exhausted, repairs will not be covered. As for assistance, that starts at the dealership level.

honey
thats not ok
thats a fault in the audi product
i would think its just because my vehicle never had been brought to the attention how would you know if had an oil consumption issue without it being confirmed ? you cant possibly know every vehcile that was affected
10:20 AM
vehicle*
10:20 AM
what does the steering box and the natural vacuum leak detection have to do with this
10:21 AM
The PCV valve is what causes this and the pistions being the wrong size i spoke with a dealer last night who said this should be covered by audi
bc of the national recal on that part!
10:23 AM
2012 to 2017
a6 are listed in the lawsuit
2liter turbo charged engines
10:24 AM
There was vehicles that was detected in which that those vehicles had an extended warranty applicable to the vehicle which extended for 8 years or 80,000 miles, whichever occurs first. Regrettably, if the warranty was applicable to the vehicle the warranty would have exhausted with the mileage on your vehicle now. Those warranties do not apply to the current issue but as for me doing my due diligence, I wanted to advise you of what warranties are applicable to the vehicle for future reference. There is no open recalls listed on your vehicle.
Live Chat - Chloe
how is that my fault when crown audi maintained the vehcile!
10:25 AM
so there for it had to be done by audi in general
i do appreciate that
but i just bought this for 20k
that recall was never repaird
repaired how is that my fault!>
10:26 AM
its 8 years old now
and the 80k wouldve been service by an audi dealer as per the maintenance records
the average driver drives 12k a year
10:27 AM
80k doesnt even cover it for owning it 8 years
the lawsuit was posted may 9th 2021
EW888 engine
10:28 AM
im reaching out to the attorneys handling it
10:31 AM
Can you provide me with the website you're referring to? At this time, we have not been made aware of any additional warranties and I confirmed no recalls listed on your vehicle. There may be something in the works. However, at this time nothing is set and stone and Audi has not been advised of warranties for oil consumption.
