Took it to the shop and they said it was the oil pressure and replaced the oil pump. The same thing. Just got an oil change for 120.00 dollars. Next day the oil light came on and said Stop Engine Now. Every time you drive 20 to 24 miles it stated you need oil the little plastic stick reads mid or max and it's good.
Purchased an A6 with 90K, encouraged by dealer to have inspected by your mechanic. Found faulty PCV valve right away. Since then I have put on 2K in last 2 months, have received low oil warning 3 times, added 1 quart each time. AUDI apparently did not think that the car owner needs an oil dip stick, so you are reliant on your instruments, therefore I ordered a dip stick. Will get it today/tomorrow. I scheduled maintenance with the dealership next week for excessive oil consumption. Apparently this is a known issue, enough to have had a class action lawsuit on earlier models, (CV13-02529 MMM (JEMx).
Update from Sep 12, 2022: According to Stealership 650+ miles between adding oil was an acceptable amount, apparently the courts agreed. Oil consumption got worse, was getting down to 350 miles before needed to add a quart. Contacted a local import mechanic, apparently it is a big issue. Rings are brittle and pistons needed the upgraded. Had to replace pistons, rings, connecting rod bearings and bolts. All told the repair was 6,250. Since the repair we have put 7500 miles on it with no oil issues.
