- Summary
- Customer may report transmission warning light comes on. No drivability/starting concerns. GFF scan shows DTC P172400 (Control Module Malfunctioning, Sporadic), stored in the transmission control module (TCM), J217 (02). DTC 00165 (Transmission Park/Neutral Position Switch -F322- Incorrect Signal Sporadic) may also be stored in the comfort system central control module, J393 (46). The entry is caused by an overly sensitive diagnosis in the TCM, due to an error in the engine control module (ECM), J623, software. This error does not affect the driving characteristics.
