Audi 3.2 engine on a 2007 Audi A6 (and same engine on A4 and other models) hesitates during acceleration, especially from a stand-still, such as a stop sign. Dealer states that the powertrain is designed this way, and that it is either the fsi engine which has a carbon buildup, or the cvt transmission. Either way, the hesitation and 2-3 second delay is problematic when at 4-way stops, or when making a left turn in front of oncoming traffic. The delay can lead to accidents. Also, there is a lot of info web about the fsi engines stalling from this issue (ie carbon buildup).
