Very worried now about fire hazard. Through an online search discovered that Audi had a recall of 2001 year (and some later model) A6 vehicles due to this exact report. It did not cover my model year (2000) or VIN yet has the same exact gas tank and fuel system. This should be covered by the recall. It is a fire / explosion risk.
