Recall # 99V1314000 VW/brake booster; owner received recall notice in September. Dealer was contacted in October/ November and December, 1999. Dealer stated that no parts were available to perform recall repairs. Also, brakes woud malfunction while driving in temperatures of minus 4 degrees. Owner is having vehicle repaired.
Gas gauge malfunctioned, causing the fuel gauge to read "half full, " and the vehicle stalled unexpectedly due to no gas in the vehicle. Presently, the fuel gauge reads full tank at all time. Also, a recall has been issued for the brake booster for which the dealer has not received parts since 3 months ago. This may cause extended stopping distance, and result in a crash in below 0 degree weather.
