In my book, the Audi A5 coupe 2 litre auto, is one of the best cars I have ever owned (I now also have a new Audi Q5 diesel which is equally superb. Problem arose with the A5 after the last service at 60,000km, when the oil consumption "jumped". I am now using 1 litre oil (Castrol Edge Professional as supplied by Audi) per 1000km. This means that I always have to drive with a couple of litre oil in the boot, just in case the alarm comes up away from an Audi dealership. From the Google page "Audi Oil Consumption" this is a fairly common complaint, and mostly Audi have come to the party with assistance. My A5 has had regular services by authorized Audi dealerships.
How do I go about getting this complaint registered and getting some action from Audi.
I bought this car April 2014. When I purchased it within a month I needed a new oil change, low oil. I have noticed that my car uses quite a bit of oil and oil changes are frequent. I have not put 10K miles and am going on my 4th oil change due to level displaying low oil. I have no oil leaks as I have been watching it. Not sure what the problem is....besides it is costing me an arm and leg for Audi oil changes.
