It has had a problem for a few months with a loss of power and a slight "tic" on the top of motor as well as check engine light indicating misfires. the A4 I had before had a similar problem I figured out was a bad cam follower on the high pressure fuel pump, so I put a new set on the one I have now as well. That didn't fix either issues. I thought well maybe its coils are getting bad cause the misfires were hit and miss. I could go days with no engine light coming on. so I replaced all 6 coils with factory ones from Audi dealer as well as 6 new plugs. That wasn't cheap to say the least! I also got the high press pump cam follower and the low pressure or purge pump in the tank from the dealership also.
Long story short I have put about $2000+ in parts (I do all the work myself or it would be WAY more) and when I finally had gotten the new parts on it it turned over started up died like it hadn't gotten the fuel up all the way and when I tried it again I believe its bank2 tensioner failed in some kind of fashion. it now "drags" or acts like the battery is dead. UPDATE: went and spent another $278.86 on a battery and its the same issue!! wtf is happening with this sh*t box? I fix one thing and another fails. I really loved the A4 I had before as well as our current Q7 but this makes me want to sale them all before they screw up cause I don't have money to invest in any more fixes.
