EPC light went on after 2 weeks of owning the used Audi. Took to used lot I purchased it from. After several attempts to fix it, was finally taken to Audi Dealer where they replaced cams under a recall. About 7 days later the oil light came on. Took car back to Audi dealer where they topped off oil and looked at car told us there was a rear main seal leak. Never saw oil on the ground.
The dealer told my husband it was a small leak and also needed right and left engine mount fixed. Called used dealer and he didn't believe that so I took car to a private Audi specialist would told me there was no main seal leak and my car is burning oil and that this is a problem with this type of engine. He also told me where to look on Internet to read more about this issue.
I paid top dollar for this vehicle (based on nada guidelines) in very good condition. This creates is not in good condition and I don't think I should be on the hook for 3k or more in repairs. Will be contacting dealer again and if they don't want to correct the known problem I will be going directly to Audi of America!
