I had just gotten on the interstate on ramp, and as soon as I hit the acceleration, the car began to shake violently. The check engine light began blinking, and within seconds I had the car off to the side of the road. I stopped the car, got out and looked at the engine, and everything looked fine. However, upon starting the car again, it began to shake again, without me hitting the acceleration. I had to get the car towed. The dealership would have cost a FORTUNE, so I took it to an independent mechanic who spent 3 hours working on the car, replacing the spark plugs and ignition coil. Still cost me $600! After those items were replaced, there weren't anymore problems with misfiring.
