Our 2005.5 Audi A4 2.0T has its glove compartment aka glove box broken off the hinge again. The first time it happened was back in 2007 and I had it replaced at dealership and I do not recall the price (I can look up if someone needs it) but this time in 2016 the shop I take it too says the entire box needs to be replaced for that one plastic piece and it will be around $800.
In my opinion the door on the glove box is too heavy for the plastic hinges. We were very careful to hold it as it opened after the 2007 incident and it still broke.
