My 2004 Audi A4 stalled in the middle of an intersection while I was in the process of making a left turn into another street. I was stranded in the middle of this busy street for almost an hour until a tow truck could arrive from the Audi dealer. An officer from the charlotte, N.C. police department arrived in about 20 minutes and directed vehicles to prevent an accident until the tow truck arrived. I was fortunate that the police and other motorists helped direct traffic around my vehicle to prevent an accident, as it was raining and foggy at the time of this issue. The vehicle was determined to have a fuel pump failure by Audi of charlotte, and they repaired the vehicle at a charge of $869.18. I have since learned that there was a recall on 2003 Audi A4 models for fuel pump failures.
