The A3 e-tron hybrid plug in ,is advertised to do up to 31 miles on an electric charge. Over ten months ownership, mine registered 25-26. The Audi main dealer checked it over ,considering my complaint, and pronounced it electronically OK, They then charged it on their equipment overnight, and got 25 miles capacity. This is 20% down on their advertised claims. Another Audi source told me that 25 was usual.
They claim 31 miles on an over night charge. Not " about thirty," but the definate figure of 31. These figures are immediatly after charging before the car is driven. Over a long time,I have been keen to reduce my car exaust pollution , and to this end , I have driven Toyota Prius hybrids, for 15 years (3 cars) Their new plug in Prius model was said to do about 12 miles per charge , so I was very attracted to the Audi figure of 31miles More than twice the distance without any emmissions ! I was grossly mis-sold by Audi statements in their brochure and other literature ,that their hybrid could do up to 31 miles per charge.
