I purchase this Audi new, 2009 and since 2010 I have had the car in the dealership repair shop for many mechanical repairs. Some of the repairs had to be repeated, and having had a serious manifold problem more than once, Audi admitted this defect for this model and reimbursed me for my out of pocket cost. I have spent thousands of dollars out of pocket especially since the warranties have expired. I recently took my car to another repair shop (transmission) and was given an estimate of over $6600.00 for very serious transmission and engine problems. I took my car back to the Audi Burlingame dealership and they charged me for an inspected and stated that they only found the above stated defects.During this inspection, I specifically requested that the inspection include checking for the tensioning system defect that is now part of 2 pending class actions suits. What bothered me is that the service repair person and the General Manager both deny any knowledge of any such known defect. I was pointed to Audi USA to file a complaint and after a brief one day conversation with a supervisor who stated
she did not or could not access my entire service repair record, I was advised that Audi USA was closing my complaint and would not offer any relief for the excessive repair costs and accompanied other costs incurred as I have been forced to bring my car into their repair shop over and over. I suspect I might be driving a very dangerous car since lately my car has been shifting into neutral when in motion and when I try to come to a stop, after applying brakes, my car continues to go forward. I brought all of these concerns to both the dealership and Audi USA, I am worried about taking this car back after the latest repairs, because it might present a huge
danger to me and my family. Research on the internet has opened my eyes...Volkswagon, parent company now to Audi and Audi actions regarding their consumer's safety and rights have made me very angry. I am not sure exactly what my next step will be but I will do all possible to alert all other Audi owners of the facts that I have uncovered that show that Volkswagen and Audi are dishonest and not to be trusted.
