We owned our new 2021 Acura TLX A-Spec for approximately 1 year before it started having problems. Several warning lights would go on, the transmission being one of them. Warning indicator would state for me to pull over and stop vehicle. Every time I brought it to the dealership for service, the lights would get re-set and it given back to me... only to end up with the same issue (once as I was pulling out of the parking lot from picking it up after they had "fixed it"). They stated that "often, resetting the warning indicators would correct the problem." What??
None the less, after further testing and multiple visits, the transmission on the car had to be replaced due to metal fragments in the transmission fluid. According to the dealership, they had only seen this problem on the RDX models, not the TLX. I felt it was important to put this out there in case something similar is happening to others.
