The contact stated that when the vehicle was started, the vehicle was idling roughly. Additionally, the accelerator pedal was depressed and there was an abnormal knocking sound coming from the engine. The contact stated that the knocking became faster and louder while depressing the accelerator pedal. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the rod bearing needed to be replaced; however, the part to complete the recall repair was not available.
