The internal pressure switch failed at 105,000 Miles (I did not notice any problems while driving). .

The warning light came on, Acura diagnosis showed a bad pressure switch.

Acura recommended a reconditioned trans but the 3rd party warranty Co. replaced the trans with a used unit with 54,000. After 5,000 miles the car is still running perfect.

Estimate paid by the warranty Co. Dealer's Resource was approximately $6,000.

After driving for an hour or so, my crappy TLX would go into limp mode. Many engine lights would go off, including "Check Transmission." Then the lights would go away when the car cooled down. It started happening at 65,000 miles. I brought it to Muller Acura in Merrillville, Indiana 4 times. The first time they didn't do anything because their system couldn't figure it out. On the second visit, they changed the transmission fluid for $500. That fixed things temporarily. A few months later the issue started up again. They had the car for 2 weeks and didn't fix anything, just sent me on my way promising my transmission was fine. My warranty expired that week so they were just delaying me. Later in the year, with the issue happening regularly, another dealer in Grand Rapids, MI called the Acura tech line to troubleshoot things. They were told the tech line had already recommended a new transmission ($7200) to a previous dealer. So not only does Acura build garbage transmissions, they lie and cheat to not have to replace them under warranty. It's been a disgusting experience with Muller Acura and my TLX.

The transmission stayed in the low gear and failed to sh*t upward. A technician at an Acura dealership fixed it at the beginning, but this problem came back few days later. Then the technician fixed it, then the problem came again. I have been going through this cycle for multiple times this month. It's really a pain in the ass. I strongly request Acura buy back the 2015 TLX, it's really a piece of junk.

About 2 weeks ago, I started noticing my V4 TLX jerking forward as I brake and came to a complete stop. It almost felt like the "sudden acceleration". The problem only got worse. Then within the last week, the RPM jumped to 4000+ RPM and hung there for a few second. This was without me stepping down hard on the pedal.

Then on 10/15/15, as I drove halfway to work, going at 65 mph, everything was smooth until all the warning lights started to come up one after another. Engine failure warning light, transmission warning, lane change assist sensor warning, steering assist warning, electronic braking system warning, etc... Especially the braking system warning, this was very troublesome. If the braking system failed when driving at a high speed, I could be in deep water. I could either hit somebody or being hit. I immediately pulled over to the slow lane and exited to the first exit I found. Once I came to a complete stop at the exit, the car started making weird noises and it did not accelerated forward like normal cars. Once I pulled over, and shifted my car into parking, it made a very loud noise like something broke from within.

This is my 2nd Acura, and my 4th from a Honda family. This is the worse model I've ever own. This car failed after 7,100 miles, which is unbelievable. I WANT A FULL REFUND!!!

Bought as a CPO with 14k on it. Drove great for 4k and now the transmission is trying to kill me. It is not downshifting to accelerate into highway traffic (feels like it is bucking), it is making a clunking sound when in reverse, and it has lost its pep when starting from a stop.

Dropped it off at Acura on 9/24, and they found a code with the transmission. When they reset it, it kicks back on as soon as they drive it. They contacted Acura corporate and said they need to send a technician before they will replace the trans.

Update from Oct 20, 2015: Acura sent a tech out to verify that the 9 speed transmission was dead. They replaced the transmission with a brand new 9 speed, and I feel it is even better than the 1,000 mile 2015 TLX loaner car I was driving! Something really changed for the better. I'm hoping it lasts more than 18k this time.

Update from Apr 28, 2016: Car just hit 29,000 and runs great! Still not liking the 9 speed so much...when I downshift, it feels like it is pulling faster instead of slowing me down.

Without warning, my 2015 TLX with less than 10,000 miles decelerated suddenly while in the far left lane of a busy freeway during rush hour. A second later dashboard flashed multiple warnings: "Transmission Failure"; "Break System Failure"; "Stability System Failure", and 2 other failures. I was able to exit onto a narrow shoulder at less than 20 mph, nearly getting hit twice in the process. I put the car in park and waited 3 1/2 hours for roadside assistance; car was towed to dealership. When it was unloaded from the truck, it wouldn't go into park or reverse.

Service adviser checked with technician, who suspects "transmission system failure" and "PCM programming error". 5 days later I'm still waiting for them to finish their diagnostic tests; apparently dealership is negotiating with Acura on whether to replace the transmission. I could easily have been killed, and remain frightened that the vehicle would die in heavy traffic, stranding me without warning. This is my 9th Acura; I've been an Acura customer for almost 20 years; have never had any problem until now. Disappointing and disturbing to say the very least.
