Pulled out of a parking lot to drive down the road while driving under normal acceleration. After a few seconds of accelerating noticed the engine rpm went really high around 4000-5000 rpm and I was decelerating like the car was in neutral, and was also was pulling the steering wheel to the left on me. Released the gas pedal because something was wrong and the engine continued to rev on its own. Pulled over and came to a stop, the engine then came down to idle. Didn't know what was going on so attempted to drive again and the car drove fine from then on. No lights came on, on this instance.

My 2015 TLX has a significant brake problem. When first started if you engage the brakes, the engine speed does not decrease. If you get the rpms down to 800 and let off the brake the engine will automatically increase to 1200 rpms on its own.

If I let off the gas to decrease my speed, the car slows to 1200 rpm then continues at that rate. I have had the car continue on its own for at least 1/4 mile with no foot on the clutch. At lease 40 mph.

I brought this to the dealer's attention and they had their "expert" drive it. He said this is all "normal". I drove a 4 cylinder TLX as a loaner and it had somewhat the same issues. I brought the results to the dealers attention and was told there was nothing they could do. I would assume after one of their cars is involved in an injury accident over this issue, they might take it seriously.

Update from Dec 25, 2015: Update, December, 2105. After car into dealer 4 times and being told there is no fix shown by corporate so there is nothing that dealer can do. I sent a certified mail demand to Acura corporate invoking the CA lemon law. Will advise if I get any results. I would rather have my 2005 TL back that had 140,000 miles that drove much better.

I did read on the site that one purchaser got a new transmission. May help, would be willing to try. I hope someone from Acura reads these postings. They are losing many long time buyers.
