CarComplaints.com Notes: 2015 Acura TLX owners just want a transmission that can get from 1st to 5th gear without feeling like a washing machine full of bricks. A class-action lawsuit wants answers for why the car’s transmission jerks and hesitates just months after the transmissions were recalled and replaced for not being able to shift into park.

I was washing my car and I noticed paint just chipping away as the water hit it and it just keeps getting worse and worse to the point where it was very noticeable and started bothering me. There was already a recall on this color but just not for this model so they won't fix it unless I pay out of pocket !!!

The paint on the Acura Tlx is defective. Acura has recalled the phantom blue pearl paint for peeling around the rear window but won't recall the bellanova white pearl for the exact same issue. I've spoken with dealer and they agree it's a defect in the paint. Acura client relations were absolutely no help. I personally know of 40/50 other owners with the exact issue. I also know of Honda owners having similar problems.

The paint is peeling around the back windshield, causing it to begin to rust. I reported it to Acura a year ago when it was first noticed and they refuse to fix it due to the warranty being expired. Several other owners of the exact same model car have reported issues, but it is hit or miss on if the dealership where it was purchased is willing to make the repairs.

Vehicle has a vibration that shakes passenger seat between 65-75 mph. Seems to be a safety issue and occurs every time the vehicle is at the speed listed.

I just turned on to the highway, and there was not a car around me. I started to accelerate and then there was a huge sound, almost like a gun shot. I immediately pulled over and noticed that my sunroof was complete shattered with a gaping hole in the middle of it. I was completely dumbfounded because I wasn't underneath a bridge or anything other than the clear blue sky. There were no cars around me to say an object hit it either. Just completely shattered for no reason. The best part is that Acura refuses to replace the sunroof when this is clearly a manufacturer default. They claim that there is no way for them to verify that it wasn't caused by an object hitting it. I'm hoping more people report this issue so the sunroof can be recalled because not only is this complete bs. It is very dangerous. If the sunroof shade wasn't closed, I would have had class shards all over the car and myself that could have landed in my eye and caused injury or even worse and accident.
