Car is a 2011 and since 2014 have had two different oil consumption tests where you have to take your car to the dealer every 1000 miles so they can measure how much oil is used. Acura says it is normal consumption every time. It is a pain to have to take your car in every 1000 miles. Have done this on two occasions and now starting the 3rd. Have driven 5000 miles, oil at 40%. Oil light came on. No oil on dipstick. Was 2.5 quarts low. I do not think I should have to add oil in between maintenance checks for a 6 year old higher end car. Acura admits that it does seem like it is using a lot of oil but compared to their standards it is fine. So frustrating.
