The contact owns a 2007 Acura TL. The contact stated that while driving approximately 35 mph, the vehicle began to decelerate. The contact stopped the vehicle and was able to restart the engine. The contact noticed that the tire pressure warning light and check engine light illuminated on the instrument panel. The failure continued intermittently. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic for diagnostics, where the mechanic stated that the air intake hose corroded and needed to be replaced. The mechanic also stated that there was an electronic failure which caused the warning lights to illuminate. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 71,000. Sm.
2007 Acura TL premature wear of timing belt caused by either defective or flawed timing belt mechanism. This premature wear will result in unexpected timing belt breakage that will result in immediate lost of all power thus increasing the risk of a crash.
