The contact owns a 2005 Acura TL. While driving approximately 60 mph, the vehicle failed without warning. The vehicle was taken to the dealer to be repaired under NHTSA campaign id number 07V097000 (fuel system, gasoline:delivery:fuel pump). Three months after the repair, the contact was unable to start the vehicle and it was towed to a local dealer. A mechanic stated that the fuel pump assembly was defective and they made the replacement. Within the same year, the vehicle failed twice in the same manner as the first failure. The dealer replaced the same component at the contact's expense. The manufacturer has not provided any assistance. The failure mileage was 45,000 and current mileage was 81,000.
