CarComplaints.com Notes: The 1999-2003 Acura TL has a known & widespread defect with the transmission.

Honda fixed some vehicles with a recall in 2004 by changing the oil cooler return line. To settle a class action lawsuit in 2006, Honda extended the transmission warranty on some of these Acura TL's to 93 months / 109,000 miles.

Now these vehicles are past the warranty limit, so buyer beware.

A plug fell out of the passenger side rear wheel well holding the plastic body material to the fender. It fell out and caused me to find a metal screw to hold it in place, I went to the dealer to see if they would repair/give me a new plug, I was told that it would cost me $254,00 & labor and an auto bdy shop to put it on. How ludicrous can that be. Am I wrong it my challenge to the dealer.
