We have had numerous issues with this car after buying it used. After just replacing the cracked intake manifold on it, now it has transmission issues. The car has started jerking whenever it changes gears. When I checked the check engine light code with an OBDII reader, it has the trouble code P0700 Transmission Control System (MIL Request). When I looked that up, the repair will cost at least $900 to replace the transmission control module. Since I drove it without realizing how serious the issue is or knowing it had that code, I probably unintentionally caused damage to the transmission, which means the transmission may need to be replaced as well. I haven't bothered to take it to a shop, because the car isn't worth it. It hasn't even hit 200k miles and now the transmission goes out. Another issue with the car is the availability of parts - the parts are expensive and hard to find. The intake manifold we replaced was used and it had cracks but the shop was able to get the cracks welded. It will be too hard and expensive to repair the car at this point.
